Add a program

Add a program to your workspace by creating a new one or activating an existing one

In the Texture dashboard, open Programs → Configuration.

Action	Use when
Create program	You need a new program that doesn't exist yet, typically a private program for your organization.
Activate a program	The program already exists in the catalog, such as a public statewide program, and you need it in this workspace.

Create a program#

Field	Required	Notes
Program display name	Yes	Shown in the dashboard (for example, `California VPP 2025`).
Program description	No	Text describing the program.

Eligible states	Yes	US states or territories where the program is available. Select at least one.
Program visibility	Yes	Private: only your workspace. Public: available for other workspaces to activate. Defaults to private.

Eligibility criteria	No	Who can participate: geography, device ownership, customer traits, and so on. Checked during enrollment and stored on the enrollment record.
Program terms & conditions	No	Legal terms for participation.

New programs are created as active, meaning available for enrollment.

Use Activate a program when the program is already in the catalog: a public program open to any organization, or one already available to yours.

On Configuration, click Activate a program. This opens the program catalog.
Select the Organization tab for programs already available to your organization, or the Public tab for statewide or open programs.
Find the program and click Activate on the variant you want to add. A variant defines the enrollment flow for that program. Most programs have a single default variant; some offer multiple for different eligibility tiers or geographies.
Confirm in the dialog.

Texture takes you to Programs → Configuration where the program is now listed. Continue setup: set up your enrollment form.
