Texture connects to energy devices, meter systems, grid topology tools, and DERMS/VPP platforms. Go to Integration Hub in your Texture dashboard to configure any of the integrations below.
Energy Devices#
Texture partners directly with device manufacturers to build official OEM APIs — no web scraping or reverse engineering. All connected devices expose a normalized schema for telemetry and state regardless of manufacturer. Available capabilities (telemetry, commands, grid services) vary by manufacturer.
Grid Sensors#
Grid monitoring devices provide real-time visibility into distribution infrastructure — power quality, voltage, current, and hazard detection at the grid edge.

Device Data Models#
Each device type has a consistent schema across all manufacturers:
- Batteries — Charge level, grid status, backup capacity, and charge/discharge power
- EV Chargers — Power output, charging state, and session data
- Electric Vehicles — Battery level, range, and charging status
- Solar Inverters — AC/DC power output, lifetime production, and grid connection
- Smart Thermostats — Current temperature, setpoints, HVAC mode, and schedule
Meters#
Connect to Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) headends and meter data management systems (MDM) to pull interval data, account information, and billing records.

Data Upload#
Import existing customer and device data from files.
