Texture powers Itron's DER Optimizer (DERO), an end-to-end aggregator DERMS platform that brings together the industry's broadest ecosystem of flexible loads — from load control switches and smart thermostats to batteries and electric vehicles — and integrates grid-edge intelligence to deliver a wide range of DER-based grid services including economic dispatch, non-wires alternatives, local grid balancing, and decarbonization.
DER Optimizer is built upon the proven capabilities of the IntelliSOURCE® platform, the longest-tenured DRMS solution in production in North America. These foundational capabilities include customer enrollment, device connectivity and control, telemetry ingestion and analytics, reporting, and customer support. DERO adds grid-edge analytics and optimization by integrating sensing and control from Itron's Distributed Intelligence applications, enabling high-value DER management use cases such as grid asset protection and voltage management.
