Troubleshoot missing data
Diagnose empty charts, missing map pins, and absent sections
Texture joins data from AMI, SCADA, and GIS, and each of those sources updates on its own schedule. Because meter telemetry can arrive before the meter has been placed on the grid model, a chart, a map pin, or a whole section can be missing while every upstream system is working normally.
Something in your view is hiding it#
Before investigating the grid model, check whether something in your current view is hiding the element.

Usage or voltage chart is empty#
Usage and voltage readings come from AMI, which on a scheduled daily poll is typically one to two days behind. The Telemetry section defaults to a 7-day window for that reason, and a 24-hour window can come back empty even when the meter is reporting normally. If yesterday's readings are present but today's are not, the poll has not completed yet.
A recently connected meter has limited history until Texture finishes importing its historical readings. Imports run per meter rather than fleet-wide, so each meter has its own earliest available data date.
When the Telemetry section does not appear at all, it is because the element has nothing to plot, either because no meters sit beneath it or because the meters beneath it report no voltage.
Meter appears in search but not on the map#
Search covers the entire workspace, while the map displays only the elements that GIS has placed, so a meter can be findable without being visible.
A meter is placed once its meter number matches a service point in the latest topology snapshot. Until that match exists, AMI keeps recording intervals and the device stays available in search and on its own device page, but it has no map pin and no site.
The same condition appears on a site as No meters connected, which means the site exists but no meter has been linked to it yet. Either wait for the next topology sync, or check that the meter number in GIS matches the number AMI is reporting.
A site or element that has no coordinates also stays off the map. Search still opens its panel, but there is no location for the map to move to.
Transformer shows no usage#
Transformer usage is calculated by summing the meters placed under that transformer, so when topology has not attached any meters to it, the transformer appears on the map with nothing to aggregate. This is the same unresolved join as an unplaced meter, one level further up the hierarchy. Verify in GIS that the downstream meter numbers match what AMI is reporting, then wait for the next topology sync.
One-line diagram shows no data#
When One-Line Diagram reads No SCADA data available for this element, SCADA coverage does not extend to that part of the grid, although meter-derived usage and voltage may still be available.
SCADA is only as current as the last ingest — within 15 minutes of your SCADA system pushing a new file — and its coverage generally ends at the substation. An empty one-line diagram and an empty AMI chart therefore have different causes and should be investigated separately.
